Branding has been undergoing a change over the past few years, and is starting to really accelerate toward a more personal, connective state. A brand characterizes all about a business: what it is, what it creates, its values and its people. The trend has begun; brands will do away with the superior, impersonal and unapproachable way of connecting with its consumers. The brands are attempting to connect more deeply & sincerely with its customers and similarly today”s consumers want to interact with the brands, demand superior products & services, and become a part of the conversation. The experience and engagement is becoming more authentic.

QMP predicts that brands will create marketing collaterals that will move toward using more human characteristics to connect emotionally with users & consumers. More companies need to know, believe and implement it.

It wasn’t long ago when Telecom operators couldn’t see the disruption that hit their industry and the established MSO’s and network operators fell prey to the biggest disruption in their industry. Welcome to the new wave of Over The Top ( OTT) services which are dominated by “BRANDS” like Skype and Netflix.

So my question is : in the digital economy today everyone is empowered to start their own service without the hassles of established practices.

How important is Branding for such players? How do the likes of next Skype or Netflix come up with their branding guidelines? Do they need a brand in the clutter of amateur brands in the OTT Space?

We at QMP believe no matter which space you operate in , whether traditional or OTT a great brand should help communicate the right story to the stakeholder. What makes a great brand ?
